Former MP Navneet Rana publicly expressed her ambition to return to Parliament. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded positively, calling on voters to endorse her and promising work that benefits Amravati.

Amravati| 25 November 2025: In a political move that has reignited discussion across Maharashtra, former Amravati MP Navneet Rana announced in a public meeting that she aims to return to the Lok Sabha. Speaking at a BJP campaign rally in Dharni, she told Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, “I will come back,” signalling her clear intent to contest again.

Fadnavis appeared to back her candidacy, saying, “With your blessings, Navneet Rana will no longer remain a former MP.” He added that her return would mean not just status, but also responsibility  promising that BJP would push development projects in Dharni and the broader Amravati district.

Addressing local concerns, Fadnavis highlighted water-supply schemes in Chikhaldara and Dharni worth tens of crores, emphasising delivery of basic infrastructure and public services. He also defended ongoing welfare programmes, including the “Ladki Bahin” scheme, pledging that benefits would continue under his leadership.

Rana, in turn, expressed gratitude for Fadnavis’s support, calling him “Deva Bhau” (a respectful sibling-like title), and praised his commitment to women’s empowerment. She mentioned that in front of him she had declared her ambition openly, and he had responded with both respect and encouragement.

Observers view her statement and Fadnavis’s response as more than political theatre; it may signal a larger BJP strategy in Vidarbha ahead of upcoming electoral battles. With her political base, husband Ravi Rana’s influence, and Fadnavis’s backing, Navneet Rana’s return bid could reshape Amravati’s political narrative.
