Pune Police Book Prominent Hotelier After Woman Security Staff Alleges Late-Night Sexual Misconduct

Pune police have registered a case against a well-known hotelier following allegations of sexual misconduct by a woman security staff member during a late-night Christmas celebration.

Pune|December 28,2025:Pune was left shocked after police registered a case of alleged sexual misconduct against prominent hotelier Sandeep Sahasrabuddhe following a complaint filed by a female security staff member. The incident reportedly took place late on Christmas night at a popular bar and restaurant located in the eastern part of the city.According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant was working as a bouncer and part of the security arrangement during a Christmas party hosted at the establishment. She alleged that during the late hours of the event, she was called into the office by Sahasrabuddhe under the pretext of work-related discussion.

In her complaint, the woman stated that during the interaction, the hotelier allegedly made an inappropriate remark, saying, “I want something from you,” and behaved in a manner she found sexually inappropriate. The complainant has claimed that she felt uncomfortable and unsafe following the interaction.

The woman immediately left the premises after the alleged incident and later approached the police to lodge a formal complaint. Based on her statement, police registered a case under relevant legal provisions and initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.Police officials confirmed that statements of the complainant and other concerned individuals are being recorded as part of the probe. Authorities also stated that all aspects of the incident are being examined carefully to ascertain the sequence of events.

As of now, no arrest has been made in the case. Police have clarified that further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation and the evidence collected.

Sandeep Sahasrabuddhe is a known figure in Pune’s hospitality industry and is associated with several popular bars and restaurants across the city. The case has sparked discussions about workplace safety and the need for strict adherence to professional conduct within the hospitality sector.
