According to investigators, Goyal admitted that she had informed her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, about her relationship with Chetan Chaudhary and had discussed her concerns regarding the proposed marriage.

Police sources indicate that Goyal claimed she was not mentally prepared for marriage and had conveyed her feelings to Ketan. However, she alleged that the engagement continued despite these concerns.
