Senior party leader Jayant Patil met Chief Minister Fadnavis along with NCP leaders Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare, with discussions reportedly continuing for a considerable period.

The meeting has fuelled widespread political buzz that Jayant Patil could be preparing to join the Ajit Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party and subsequently become part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
