BJP Launches Statewide Welfare Drive to Mark CM Devendra Fadnavis’ Birthday

The Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a series of statewide public welfare initiatives to commemorate Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ birthday on Wednesday. The programmes, aimed at benefiting farmers, women, youth, and the general public, will be conducted across Maharashtra over the coming weeks under the party’s “Seva Yagna” campaign.

One of the key initiatives is the “Devabhau Krishi Mauli Sohala,” organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha following the recent passage of legislation granting legal recognition to women farmers in Maharashtra. The programme will be held across the party’s 72 organisational divisions from July 22 to July 27 under the guidance of Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan.

The schedule includes Vidarbha on July 22, Marathwada on July 23, Western Maharashtra on July 24, Thane-Konkan on July 26, and North Maharashtra on July 27. In urban areas, women will receive terrace and balcony gardening as well as hydroponics farming training, along with special gardening kits. In rural regions, particularly for single women, widows, and women agricultural labourers, the party will distribute biodegradable agricultural kits containing organic fertilisers and seeds, along with guidance on soil testing.

The BJP has also planned “Maha Arogya Shibir” health camps from July 22 to July 28 across government medical colleges and hospitals. The camps will provide free medical check-ups, cancer screening, eye examinations, and surgeries for eligible patients.

In addition, the BJP Yuva Morcha will organise large-scale “Maha Raktdaan Shibir” blood donation camps throughout the state. In Nagpur, the Chief Minister’s hometown, a special Shri Lakshmi-Narasimha Mahayagna will be performed, followed by a Maha Aarti and community feast, with prayers offered for Fadnavis’ health and long life.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government will also conduct the “Rajaswa Abhiyan” from July 22 to August 5 through the Revenue Department. The campaign will focus on resolving land record issues, implementing the Chief Minister Baliraja Farm Road Scheme, correcting entries in land records, and organising special grievance redressal camps for women farmers across the state.
