Ravindra Dhangekar accused Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol of hiding his role in a Pune land scam. Mohol denied involvement, calling the allegations false and politically motivated amid growing local tension.
Pune | October 23, 2025: Political tension has escalated in Pune after Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Ravindra Dhangekar once again accused Union Minister and BJP MP Murlidhar Mohol of spreading lies to conceal his alleged role in a controversial land deal involving the Jain Boarding House Trust.
In his recent social media post, Dhangekar claimed that Mohol is attempting to mislead the public to cover up irregularities in the land transaction. He alleged that the minister and his associates profited from the deal, which he termed a “land scam.” Dhangekar also questioned the Charity Commissioner’s decision to maintain the status quo and demanded a criminal inquiry into Mohol’s involvement.

Mohol dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. He clarified that although he was previously associated with Gokhale Builders, the developer involved in the deal, he had resigned from the partnership months before the final transaction took place. Mohol said the accusations are an attempt to tarnish his image ahead of elections.
Despite Mohol’s explanation, Dhangekar has maintained that the land transaction betrayed the trust’s purpose and demanded accountability from the minister. The ongoing dispute has intensified political friction within Pune’s ruling coalition, with the opposition seeking a thorough investigation into the case.
