A former Pakistani national security advisor expresses concerns over possible Indian military actions, highlighting the need for vigilance and preparedness.

06- October-2025 – In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, Pakistan remains apprehensive about potential future military actions by India. The operation, which resulted in significant losses for Pakistan, including the destruction of nine military and terrorist training camps, the downing of several aircraft, and the damage to airbases, has left a lasting impact on the nation’s defense posture. Following the operation, Pakistan sought a ceasefire, waving a white flag to de-escalate tensions.

Despite the ceasefire, Pakistan continues to express concerns about India’s intentions. Former National Security Advisor, Lieutenant General Nasir Janjua, has warned that India may launch another missile attack on Pakistan. He emphasized the need for Pakistan to remain vigilant and prepared for any potential aggression. Janjua also asserted that Pakistan possesses advanced missile technology capable of responding effectively to any hostile actions by India.

Furthermore, Janjua highlighted the enhanced morale and self-esteem of Pakistan and its military following the recent conflict. He claimed that the international community now recognizes Pakistan’s resilience and strength, suggesting that India stands isolated in its aggressive stance.

In a bold statement, Janjua declared that if India were to launch another attack, Pakistan would retaliate by downing 70 Indian aircraft. This assertion underscores the heightened tensions and the potential for escalation in the region.

In addition to military concerns, Rear Admiral (Retd) N.A. Rizvi, a former naval officer, warned that Pakistan faces significant risks as long as the Gwadar port remains operational. He suggested that the strategic importance of Gwadar could make it a potential target in future conflicts, posing a serious threat to Pakistan’s maritime security.

These statements reflect the ongoing anxiety in Pakistan regarding India’s military capabilities and intentions. The situation remains tense, with both nations on high alert, and the international community closely monitoring developments in the region.
