PETE offers comprehensive certification programmes covering areas such as pet handling, pet sitting, pet grooming and boarding facility management.
The institute also provides hands-on practical training at dedicated pet facilities, along with online programmes designed for pet parents and focused on the overall wellbeing of pets.
Focus on Practical Training
PETE founder Partha Joshi said the rapidly growing pet care ecosystem has increased the demand for certified and compassionate professionals.

According to Joshi, the institute developed its curriculum after scientific and industry-driven research, combining theoretical knowledge with practical outcomes to prepare the next generation of animal care professionals.
The inauguration was attended by PETE co-founders Shrirang Khaparde, Siddharth Gokhale and Bhagyesh Ranade. Ranade said the institute’s focus would remain on empowering future animal care professionals through hands-on and practical training.

The institute plans to expand its operations across India over the next five years, with a focus on improving the quality of care available to pets and supporting the people who work in the pet care sector.
Established in 2025 and based in Pune, PETE describes itself as a pet care education and training ecosystem focused on developing a skilled and compassionate workforce for modern and ethical pet care.
