A female IT employee in Hinjewadi, Pune, alleges termination after refusing forced religious conversion and sexual exploitation. Police have summoned company officials as investigation into the workplace harassment case begins.

Pune| June 4, 2026: A disturbing controversy has erupted in Pune’s Hinjewadi IT park following serious allegations made by a female employee of a multinational corporation. The victim, who held a professional position within the company, has publicly alleged that she was terminated from her job after she refused to undergo religious conversion and declined to engage in inappropriate physical relationships with colleagues. During a recent press conference, she claimed that senior management subjected her to persistent mental harassment and exerted undue pressure to abandon her faith and comply with unethical demands.

According to the victim’s account, when she formally reported the ongoing harassment to the company’s internal grievance department, the administration failed to initiate any corrective or disciplinary action. Instead, she alleges that she was coerced into signing a resignation letter, effectively forcing her out of her employment. The incident has sent shockwaves through the corporate community, raising urgent questions regarding workplace safety, ethics, and the protection of employees from discriminatory practices based on religious or personal grounds.

The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has taken a staunch stance on the matter, labeling the incident as an act of “corporate jihad” and demanding immediate state intervention. The organization has appealed to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to oversee a high-level inquiry into the company’s internal operations and the conduct of its senior officials. Following the public outcry, the Hinjewadi Police have formally registered a notice of inquiry and have summoned the company’s senior management team for questioning.

Authorities are currently scrutinizing the victim’s claims and the company’s internal protocols to determine the veracity of the harassment allegations. This high-profile case has brought the spotlight back to the need for robust institutional mechanisms to protect employees from systemic exploitation. As the investigation progresses, the local corporate sector remains under intense scrutiny, with advocacy groups calling for legislative reforms to prevent similar instances of coercion within multinational work environments.
