Gang Vandalizes Shop in Kondhwa; Three Arrested by Pune Police

Pune, October 24, 2025 – Pune In a recent incident in Kondhwa, a gang of three individuals was arrested for vandalizing a shop and causing panic in the area. The accused have been identified as Hamza Khan (20), Fida Khan (20), and Shahrukh Sheikh (18). The incident occurred late at night when the trio, armed with sharp weapons, stormed into a local shop, causing significant damage and instilling fear among the residents.

The shop owner, Sameer Mohammad Yusuf Sheikh (47), a resident of Mithanagar, Kondhwa, reported the incident to the Kondhwa Police Station. According to the complaint, the accused entered the shop, threatened the staff, and damaged property before fleeing the scene. The police acted swiftly upon receiving the complaint and launched an investigation.

Senior Police Inspector Vinay Patankar of Kondhwa Police Station confirmed the arrests and stated, “The accused were apprehended based on the information provided by the shop owner and the evidence collected from the crime scene.” He further mentioned that the police are investigating the possibility of the involvement of other individuals and have registered a case against the absconding accomplices.

The arrested individuals were produced before the court and have been remanded to police custody for further interrogation. The police are continuing their investigation to ascertain the motive behind the attack and to identify any other persons involved in the incident.

Residents of Kondhwa have expressed relief over the swift action taken by the police and have urged for increased vigilance to prevent such incidents in the future.
