‘One Voice’ Musical Concert by Cantabile Choirs to Celebrate Global Harmony Through Song

Cantabile’s “One Voice” concert on November 16 at Sakal Lalit Kalaghar Theatre will unite adult and children’s choirs to perform multicultural songs celebrating diversity, connection, and the universal language of music.

Pune | November 6, 2025: Pune’s renowned performing arts institute, Cantabile, is set to host “One Voice”, a musical concert featuring soulful performances by its Bel Canto Adult Choir and Bel Cantilena Children’s Choir. The event will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Sakal Lalit Kalaghar Theatre Academy, Maharashtriya Mandal, Mukund Nagar Road. Donation passes are available at CT Pundole, MG Road, Pune.

Founded in 2015 by veteran music educator Ferieda Havewala, Cantabile has become one of Pune’s most respected platforms for music and drama. The institute’s name comes from the Italian word “Cantabile”, meaning “in a singing style,” and reflects its core philosophy of expressing emotion through music.

The Bel Canto Adult Choir comprises singers from across Pune many with no formal musical background who share a passion for singing together. Over the years, the choir has performed multiple concerts in Pune and participated in Mumbai’s Stop Gaps Christmas programme at the NCPA.

Its counterpart, the Bel Cantilena Children’s Choir, includes talented young voices aged 5 to 15 from various Pune schools. The group frequently performs at concerts alongside the adult ensemble, delighting audiences with their energy and charm.

Both choirs perform annually to raise funds for charitable causes such as “Sweetlings” (Jehangir Hospital’s project for juvenile diabetics), The Indian Red Cross Society, Eventide Old Age Home, and Helplife—an NGO supporting differently abled girls.

This year’s concert, “One Voice”, celebrates the power of unity and cultural diversity through music. Featuring songs from around the world, the performance promises a blend of languages, rhythms, and traditions that showcase music’s ability to transcend boundaries.
