Pune Police Warn Young Couple After Viral Video Shows Public Indecency in Car

Pune|November 19, 2025: A shocking incident in Warje has triggered both police action and public debate after a video went viral showing a young couple inside a car performing what local reports described as “obscene” acts. The incident reportedly occurred around 10 PM, sparking outrage from residents who alerted the authorities.

Police responded swiftly to the call. When they found the couple in the car, they took them into custody briefly. However, because the woman is a minor, the police decided not to press criminal charges. Instead, they gave her a stern warning and released the pair after giving them a lecture on decency and public behavior.

Sources say that while the event was initially reported as public indecency, the response by law enforcement was measured, likely due to the woman’s age. Neighbors say the couple’s car was stationary when the acts happened, but the fact that a video was made and shared made the matter more serious. The viral clip has since sparked conversations across social media about public morality, consent, and the role of bystanders in recording and reporting such incidents.

While no formal legal case has been filed in this instance, the police warning is a clear signal that inappropriate behaviour in public  or semi-public spaces like a parked car  will not be tolerated.
