Pune | 18 December 2025: Pune Railway Station has taken a major step toward improving passenger convenience by introducing a digital locker facility on Platform No. 1. The initiative is aimed at helping travelers securely store their luggage while waiting for trains, during long layovers, or while stepping out of the station for short durations. With passenger footfall steadily rising at Pune Junction, the new system is expected to reduce dependence on traditional cloakrooms and offer a faster, more reliable alternative for baggage storage.

The digital locker facility has been installed on Platform 1 toward the Mumbai end of the station, near the multipurpose stall, ensuring easy accessibility for passengers. The lockers operate through a fully automated system, eliminating the need for manual handling by railway staff. Travelers can select a locker, complete digital payment, and secure their belongings through a smart access process.
