Narhe’s Manaji Nagar to Navale Bridge service road faces severe daily traffic jams as unauthorized rickshaws and four-wheelers bypass PMC-installed bollards, causing frustration among commuters and calls for stricter enforcement.

Pune, Maharashtra | December 19, 2025:Narhe residents are raising concerns over severe traffic congestion on the Manaji Nagar–Navale Bridge service road, which has become a daily bottleneck during morning and evening hours. Although the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) installed bollards to restrict two-wheeler access, unauthorized rickshaws and four-wheelers frequently use the road, bypassing the restrictions.

Local residents report that in some cases, individuals deliberately remove the bollards, further exacerbating the problem. Despite repeated incidents, authorities have yet to take effective action, leaving commuters frustrated and daily traffic snarls unresolved.

“The road is clogged every morning and evening. People waste hours in traffic, and there seems to be no enforcement of existing regulations,” said one local resident. Citizens are urging the administration to take immediate and strict action to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic. The situation has raised concerns about road safety and pedestrian convenience, with narrow service lanes becoming increasingly hazardous due to overcrowding by unauthorized vehicles. Traffic experts suggest stricter monitoring and fines, along with public awareness campaigns, to prevent repeated violations.

Residents insist that enforcement must be consistent, warning that continued neglect could lead to accidents and further chaos on this crucial arterial route connecting Narhe to Navale Bridge.
