Pune Metro Tender Process Begins for Ramwadi–Wagholi Extension

Maha Metro has officially commenced the tender process for the Ramwadi–Wagholi metro extension in Pune, marking a key step in expanding mass transit in eastern suburbs.

Pune| February 2, 2026: The expansion of Pune’s metro network has taken a significant step forward with the initiation of the tender process for the Ramwadi–Wagholi metro extension. This move signals the transition of the long-awaited project from planning to execution and is expected to greatly enhance public transport access in the city’s rapidly growing eastern suburbs.

The proposed extension will stretch over approximately 11.6 kilometres, connecting Ramwadi to Wagholi through an elevated corridor.
