Pune | 03 February, 2026: The Anti-Narcotics Squad 2, Crime Branch, Pune, took swift action against illegal narcotics activity in the city on 03 February 2026. During early morning patrolling near the back gate of Kharadi EON IT Park Phase 2, officers apprehended two individuals in possession of 27 grams of Mephedrone (MD), valued at ₹12,41,000.

The accused were identified as Motisingh Shravansingh Rajpurohit (28), residing at Flat No. 06, Dhoka Building, Lohgaon Road, Wagholi, Pune, originally from Basni, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and Harish Sujanaram Dewasi (22), residing at Lane No. 2, Byf Road, Wagholi, Pune, originally from Gudamalani, Barmer, Rajasthan.

The duo was found illegally and unauthorizedly possessing the narcotics for sale on a public road. Following the discovery, the Anti-Narcotics Squad 2 registered a case under sections 8(c), 21(b), and 29 of the NDPS Act at Kharadi Police Station.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior officials, including Police Commissioner Shri Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Shri Ranjankumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime Shri Pankaj Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Shri Nikhil Pingale, and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime-3 Shri Shankar Khatke.

The squad was led on-site by Police Inspector Shri Pandit Rejitwad and included a dedicated team of officers: Police Inspector Nitinkumar Naik, PSI Asmita Lad, and constables Sandeep Jadhav, Prithviraj Pandule, Sunil Mahadik, Ganesh Gosavi, Sandeep Devkate, Devidas Wandhare, Dinesh Bastewad, Shubhangi Mhalsekar, along with Cops 24 Marshal team members Pagare and Jadhav from Kharadi Police Station.
