With flight cancellations, sudden airspace closures and growing uncertainty across West Asia, the civic administration has moved swiftly to create a coordinated response system to support affected citizens and their families.

The 24×7 help desk has been set up under the direction of the municipal leadership to provide immediate assistance and gather detailed information about Punekars currently in conflict-affected regions. Families in Pune have been urged to share essential details of their relatives abroad, including full name, passport number, contact information, present location, and travel itinerary. This information will be compiled into a centralised database to streamline coordination with state and central authorities for necessary intervention.
