RailOne App Refund Drive: Western Railway to Return Stuck Passenger Funds
RailOne App Refund Drive
Western Railway has launched a special refund drive through the RailOne app to help passengers recover stuck funds, aiming to resolve pending refund issues quickly and efficiently.
Mumbai | March 20, 2026: In a passenger-friendly initiative, Western Railway has launched a special refund drive through the RailOne app to facilitate the return of funds that were stuck due to failed or incomplete transactions.
The move comes in response to complaints from passengers who experienced issues such as money being deducted without successful ticket booking or delays in refund processing. Railway officials said the drive is aimed at identifying such cases and ensuring that refunds are processed smoothly.

According to officials, passengers who faced such issues can now use the RailOne app to check their transaction history and initiate refund requests. The app allows users to track refund status and raise complaints through integrated support systems, making the process more transparent and accessible.
The initiative is particularly significant as RailOne has become a centralised platform for multiple railway services, including ticket booking, complaint registration and refund tracking. Developed as a unified digital solution, the app aims to reduce dependency on multiple platforms and simplify the passenger experience.

Officials stated that special efforts are being made to address cases where transactions failed due to technical glitches, network issues or payment gateway errors. In such situations, passengers often face delays in receiving refunds, leading to inconvenience and dissatisfaction.
Through this campaign, Western Railway is working to clear pending cases in a time-bound manner. Passengers have been encouraged to verify their booking and payment details within the app and report any discrepancies to ensure faster resolution.
Railway authorities emphasised that most refunds are generally processed automatically as per Indian Railways’ policies, but certain cases require manual intervention, especially when transactions remain unresolved for longer periods.

The refund drive is also part of a broader effort to strengthen digital services and build passenger confidence in online ticketing platforms. With the transition of services from older systems to newer platforms like RailOne, ensuring smooth financial transactions has become a key priority.
Passengers have been advised to keep their transaction IDs and booking details handy while raising refund requests to expedite the process. Authorities also urged users to regularly update the app and use official channels for any grievances.
The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of passengers and reduce pending refund complaints, reinforcing the Railways’ push toward a more efficient and user-friendly digital ecosystem.
