April 1 2026 : The threat, broadcast through state media and widely reported by international outlets, listed tech and industrial giants such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, Intel, IBM, Tesla and Boeing among those in the crosshairs, asserting their facilities could face destruction in retaliation for what the IRGC describes as hostile actions against Iran.In its message, the elite Iranian military force specified that the first wave of attacks was slated to begin at 8 p.m. Tehran time on April 1. Employees of the named firms were urged to evacuate their workplaces immediately to preserve their safety amid the escalating threat environment.

The IRGC’s announcement comes against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the broader Middle East, where ongoing hostilities involving the United States, Israel and Iran have fueled fears of wider conflict. Tehran has repeatedly accused Western technology and defence companies of playing roles, directly or indirectly, in operations that have targeted Iranian interests, a charge strongly denied by the governments and firms concerned. The United States government has responded by reaffirming its readiness to counter any potential attacks. A White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, stressed that US military forces remain prepared to protect American personnel and corporate facilities throughout the region, underlining the deepening geopolitical rift.

Global markets reacted nervously to the developments, with reports of volatility in major indices, reflecting investor concern over the potential impact of expanding conflict on economic stability. In the coming hours and days, diplomatic channels are expected to intensify efforts to defuse the situation as regional actors express alarm over the possibility of attacks on international corporate assets.
