A Dehu | 01 May 2026: A landmark initiative in the Warkari tradition was marked with the grand release of a children’s book titled ‘Maaulichi Goshta’ at Sri Kshetra Dehu on Maharashtra Day, aimed at introducing the teachings of saints to younger generations in an accessible and engaging format. The publication was released at the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan in a ceremony attended by religious leaders, trustees, writers, illustrators, and local representatives.

The book, produced under the initiative of USO Warkari, has been described by organisers as the first dedicated children’s literature effort within the Warkari sect. It has been authored by multiple contributors, including H.B.P. Aniket Maharaj More Dehukar, Poonam Khandagale, and Kalyani Pandey, who has contributed the English translation. The visual storytelling has been enhanced through illustrations created by Anisha Shinde, Kiran Boda, Pratiksha More, and Vedant Raje, making the spiritual narratives more engaging for children.
The publication was formally released by H.B.P. Prabhu Maharaj Mali, who highlighted the importance of making saint literature accessible to children and encouraged wider dissemination of the book across households. He noted that efforts such as this help preserve spiritual heritage while adapting it to modern learning needs.

Trustees of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan expressed that the book fills an important gap in children’s literature by presenting the life and teachings of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj in a simplified and relatable manner. Local civic representatives also emphasised the importance of cultivating reading habits and moral values among children through culturally rooted literature.
Special guests from educational initiatives appreciated the attempt to translate complex philosophical teachings found in abhangs and ovis into simple narratives for young readers. They stated that such efforts help children better understand their cultural identity and spiritual traditions.
The authors of the book expressed satisfaction that the release coincided with Maharashtra Day, adding symbolic value to the initiative. They also expressed hope that the book would reach children across Maharashtra and beyond, strengthening awareness of Warkari values. The organisers further informed that the book is available in multiple languages and additional details can be accessed through the official website of the organisation.
