PUNE | 09 May, 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education recently announced the Class 10 results, highlighting a stellar performance by students with disabilities (Divyang). Despite a marginal dip of 1.05% compared to last year’s 92.27%, the Divyang category recorded a strong overall passing percentage of 91.22%. Out of the 10,031 students who registered for the examination, 9,912 appeared, and 9,402 successfully cleared the boards, reinforcing the message that they are no less capable than their peers.
The state board facilitated this success by providing essential accommodations and facilities tailored to the needs of these candidates. The results across various disability categories reveal a diverse landscape of achievement. The “Specific Learning Disability” group recorded the highest success rate among major categories at an impressive 98.45%, with 1,141 students passing out of 1,162. Students with visual impairments (Blindness) also performed exceptionally well, securing a 94.35% passing rate, while those in the “Locomotor Disability” category the largest group by volume saw 1,912 students pass out of 2,120 registered candidates.

Detailed statistics show that the board conducted examinations for 22 different types of disability categories. Remarkably, two of these categories achieved a perfect 100% result, while 11 categories saw more than 90% of their students pass. In the “Hearing Impairment” group, 1,505 students out of 1,802 successfully cleared the exams, marking a pass rate of 84.17%.
Education officials noted that while the general state average stood at 92.09% and girls outperformed boys with a 94.96% success rate, the performance of Divyang students remains a point of pride. Their ability to secure over 91% success while overcoming physical and cognitive challenges underscores the effectiveness of inclusive education policies. This “soaring flight” of Divyang students in the 2026 results continues to inspire the academic community, proving that with the right support and determination, academic excellence is accessible to all.
