May 25, 2026 | Manchester:Erling Haaland once again underlined his reputation as one of world football’s most lethal forwards after winning the Premier League Golden Boot for the third time in four seasons. The Manchester City striker finished the 2025-26 league season with 27 goals, comfortably ahead of Brentford forward Igor Thiago, who ended with 22 goals.
Despite missing Manchester City’s final league game of the season against Aston Villa, the Norwegian international remained untouchable at the top of the scoring charts. Haaland had earlier won the prestigious award during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns, continuing a remarkable run since arriving in English football.
The 25-year-old forward has consistently shattered records during his stay in the Premier League. His debut season saw him score a historic 36 league goals, setting a new benchmark for most goals in a single Premier League campaign. Since then, Haaland has maintained extraordinary consistency, becoming the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals earlier this season.
Haaland’s latest achievement places him alongside legendary strikers such as Alan Shearer and Harry Kane, who also won the Golden Boot three times. Only Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah have lifted the award more often, with four titles each.

The prolific striker’s consistency has been crucial for Manchester City over recent years, with his finishing ability continuing to redefine standards in English football. Haaland is now expected to lead Norway’s attack at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, carrying immense expectations following another record-breaking domestic campaign.
