New Delhi | May 13, 2026:
A fresh political storm erupted on Wednesday after Arvind Kejriwal called upon India’s Gen Z youth to protest against alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination and seek accountability from those involved in the paper leak controversy.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, the Aam Aadmi Party leader alleged that repeated paper leak incidents across the country had severely damaged the confidence of students preparing for competitive examinations. Referring to youth-led political movements in neighboring Nepal and Bangladesh, Kejriwal said Indian students also possess the power to demand strict action against individuals responsible for examination fraud.

The remarks came a day after the National Testing Agency cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination following allegations of a large-scale paper leak. The decision triggered widespread outrage among students and parents across the country, many of whom expressed concerns over transparency and fairness in the examination process.

Kejriwal questioned whether previous investigations into paper leak cases had resulted in meaningful punishment for those responsible. He also raised doubts over the effectiveness of the Central Bureau of Investigation probe announced by the Centre, alleging that several major examination leak incidents in recent years had occurred in BJP-ruled states.

The AAP chief claimed that more than 90 examination paper leak incidents had been reported since 2014, affecting millions of students nationwide. He urged students and youth groups to raise their voices against corruption and pressure authorities to ensure transparency in recruitment and entrance examinations.

Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has stated that all registrations from the cancelled examination cycle will remain valid for the upcoming re-test and that fresh applications will not be required. Authorities have confirmed that the CBI has formally taken over the investigation into the alleged leak network.
