Eight Booked for Dangerous Car Stunts While Shooting Social Media Reel in Pune’s Khed
Alandi police have booked eight people for allegedly performing dangerous car stunts in Kelgaon, Khed, while shooting a social media reel and using a drone without permission.
PUNE: Alandi police have registered a case against eight people for allegedly performing dangerous car stunts on a public road in Kelgaon, in Khed taluka, while filming a social media reel to celebrate the purchase of a new vehicle.
The incident reportedly took place on October 7, 2026, when a group allegedly drove cars in circles and performed risky manoeuvres on a public road. Police said the actions endangered both the people involved and other road users.
Drone Filming Allegedly Conducted Without Permission
According to the police complaint, the group also used a drone to record the stunts without obtaining the required prior permission. The alleged drone operation violated a prohibitory order issued by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Joint Commissioner of Police.
The case names Mahesh Balkrishna Madke of Alandi, reel creator Pratik Shinde of Baramati, Vishal Satare, Yash Mungase and other individuals. Police have registered the case at Alandi police station.
Vehicle Seized by Police
Police have seized the new four-wheeler allegedly used during the stunt. The investigation is examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the alleged dangerous driving and unauthorised drone filming.
The case highlights the risks associated with performing vehicle stunts on public roads for social media content. Such activities can endanger pedestrians, motorists and the participants themselves.
Police are investigating the allegations and further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
