The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has detained Professor Shivraj Motegaonkar, director of the well-known RCC Coaching Classes in Latur, in connection with the ongoing NEET paper leak case. The action has sent shockwaves through Maharashtra’s education sector, especially among thousands of students preparing for competitive medical entrance examinations.

According to investigation sources, the CBI conducted an extensive inquiry into suspected links between coaching institutions and the alleged leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) question paper. Following preliminary findings, officials took Motegaonkar into custody for questioning regarding his alleged role in the controversy. However, the agency has not yet publicly disclosed the exact nature of the evidence collected against him.

RCC Coaching Classes is considered one of the most reputed coaching institutes in the Marathwada region and has produced several successful NEET and JEE candidates over the years. News of the detention quickly spread across social media platforms, leading to widespread reactions from students, parents, and education experts.

Several parents expressed concern over the credibility of the examination system, stating that repeated allegations of paper leaks are damaging students’ trust in national-level competitive exams. Students preparing for upcoming entrance tests also voiced anxiety about fairness and transparency in the selection process.

The NEET paper leak investigation has already led to multiple arrests and raids across different states. The CBI is examining whether organized networks involving middlemen, educational agents, and coaching centres were involved in illegally circulating examination papers before the test.

Officials stated that further questioning and forensic analysis of electronic devices and documents are currently underway. The investigation is expected to expand in the coming days as agencies attempt to uncover the full extent of the alleged racket.

The latest development has once again reignited the debate over examination security and the growing commercialization of India’s coaching industry.
