Pune | 28 November 2025: The Civil–Military Fusion Training Capsule 2025 is underway in Pune, bringing together 144 probationary officers of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission for a week-long collaboration with the Indian Army. Organised by the Shivneri Brigade under the Southern Command in partnership with YASHADA, the programme aims to deepen coordination between civil administration and the Armed Forces at a time when national security and disaster-response demands continue to evolve.

This is the second edition of the training capsule and includes 108 male and 36 female probationers, reflecting growing participation of women in public administration and national service. Officials said the initiative is designed to build a shared understanding of governance challenges, promote informed decision-making, and create a framework for effective joint action during emergencies.

Throughout the programme, participants are being introduced to the Army’s ethos, organisational discipline and operational philosophy. Sessions cover the military’s role in safeguarding national sovereignty, assisting civil authorities during natural disasters, and supporting internal security responsibilities. Army personnel are also sharing best practices for crisis management, field coordination, and resource mobilisation, giving trainee officers first-hand exposure to civil–military dynamics.

According to the Southern Command, the training capsule is a long-term investment in strengthening India’s governance structure. By building trust and mutual respect between future civil administrators and the Army, the initiative seeks to ensure faster, more coordinated responses during high-pressure situations.

Senior Army officials, including Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, GOC-in-C Southern Command, commended the joint effort. He said the collaboration between Southern Command and YASHADA sets a benchmark for integrated leadership and enhances national preparedness for emerging challenges.
