The investigation into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak scam has gathered further momentum after the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested two more individuals linked to the case. The arrests are part of the agency’s ongoing crackdown on a wider network suspected of leaking examination papers and facilitating unfair practices during one of India’s most competitive medical entrance exams.
According to officials, the newly arrested accused are believed to have played a key role in circulating confidential examination material before the test. The agency is currently examining digital evidence, financial transactions and communication records to trace the full extent of the operation. Multiple locations across different states are also under the scanner as investigators attempt to identify additional suspects and possible masterminds behind the alleged racket.
The NEET-UG examination, conducted for admissions to medical colleges across India, came under controversy after allegations of paper leaks and irregularities surfaced shortly after the exam. The issue sparked massive protests from students and parents demanding transparency and strict action against those involved.

The CBI had earlier registered FIRs and carried out raids in several states as part of its investigation. Officials said more arrests and questioning are likely in the coming days based on the evidence collected so far.
The case has once again raised serious concerns over the security and credibility of major competitive examinations in India. Authorities have assured students that strict action will be taken against everyone found involved in the malpractice network.
