Indian Railways to discontinue UTS mobile app from March 1; passengers must switch to RailOne app for all ticketing and related services.
Pune | 13 February, 2026- In a significant development for rail passengers across the country, Indian Railways has announced that the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app will be discontinued from March 1, 2026. After this date, commuters will no longer be able to book unreserved tickets, platform tickets, or renew season passes through the UTS app. Instead, passengers will be required to use the newly introduced RailOne app, which will serve as the unified platform for all railway ticketing and related services.
The move is part of a broader digital transformation initiative aimed at streamlining railway services under a single integrated application. Currently, passengers use different apps for unreserved ticket booking, reserved ticket booking, live train tracking, and other services. With RailOne, all these features will be consolidated into one platform, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications.

Through the RailOne app, users will be able to book unreserved tickets, reserved tickets, and platform tickets seamlessly. The app will also provide additional features such as live train status, PNR tracking, coach position details, cancellation and refund processing, and access to passenger support services. Officials have stated that the new system is designed to improve convenience, efficiency, and overall passenger experience.
Passengers who currently use the UTS app are advised to download and register on the RailOne app well before the March 1 deadline to avoid disruptions in their travel plans. Importantly, any existing R-Wallet balance in the UTS system will remain secure and can be accessed through the new platform after logging in with the same credentials.

The UTS app, introduced over a decade ago, played a crucial role in promoting digital ticketing, especially for daily commuters in suburban and urban railway networks. Its discontinuation marks the end of a standalone unreserved ticketing system and the beginning of a more unified digital approach under Indian Railways.
Authorities have urged passengers to familiarise themselves with the new application interface in advance. The transition is expected to make railway ticket booking simpler and more efficient while supporting the long-term goal of a fully integrated digital rail ecosystem.
