Pimpri-Chinchwad Residents Can Meet Police Commissioner Every Monday Without Prior Appointment
Chinchwad
Residents of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad can now meet the Police Commissioner directly every Monday without appointment to raise complaints and suggestions.
Pune, 10 March, 2026: In an effort to strengthen communication between citizens and the police administration, a new initiative has been introduced allowing residents of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad to meet the Police Commissioner directly every Monday without taking a prior appointment. The move aims to provide a simple platform where people can present complaints, suggestions and concerns related to law and order, safety, and other policing issues.

Under this initiative, citizens can visit the Police Commissionerate office in Chinchwad between 4 pm and 6 pm every Monday to interact with senior police officials. The Police Commissioner, along with other senior officers including additional commissioners and deputy commissioners, will be present during these sessions to listen to grievances and address public concerns.
Officials say the programme has been launched to make the police administration more accessible and transparent. Often, residents face difficulties when trying to reach senior officials regarding important issues. This weekly open meeting will allow citizens to directly communicate their problems and seek quicker solutions without going through lengthy appointment procedures.
Authorities believe that direct interaction between the police and the public will help improve trust and cooperation. Residents will be able to raise issues such as neighbourhood safety, traffic problems, local disputes, cybercrime complaints, and other concerns affecting their communities.

The initiative is also expected to help the police department better understand the ground realities faced by citizens. Feedback received during these meetings will allow officials to identify recurring issues and take appropriate action to improve policing and public safety in different areas.
Pimpri-Chinchwad is one of the fastest-growing urban regions near Pune, with a rapidly expanding population, industrial activity, and residential development. As the city continues to grow, maintaining effective communication between citizens and law-enforcement agencies has become increasingly important.
Police officials have encouraged residents, senior citizens, students, business owners and community representatives to make use of the opportunity. By bringing public grievances directly to the attention of senior officers, the initiative aims to ensure faster response and better coordination in addressing local issues.
