Nashik |19 March, 2026: A major crime case has surfaced in Nashik with the arrest of Ashok Kharat, a self-styled astrologer and numerologist accused of sexually exploiting women under the guise of spiritual guidance. The case has triggered widespread concern across Maharashtra due to its serious nature and alleged connections.

According to police sources, Kharat allegedly manipulated victims by exploiting their trust in astrology and occult practices. He is accused of using intimidation, rituals, and psychological pressure to coerce women into sexual acts. Investigators have also recovered multiple objectionable videos during the probe, raising suspicions of a larger network.

The accused was produced before a Nashik court, which remanded him to police custody for further investigation. Authorities are now examining digital evidence, documents, and other materials seized during raids, including items recovered from his premises.
