The Nashik district court has remanded Nida Khan, the prime suspect in the high-profile IT firm exploitation and religious conversion case, to 14 days of judicial custody following her police interrogation.

Nashik | May 12, 2026: In a significant development regarding the alleged sexual harassment of female employees and forced religious conversions at a prominent IT firm, the Nashik District and Sessions Court has sent the primary accused, Nida Khan, to judicial custody for 14 days. Following the expiration of her initial four-day police remand, Khan was produced before Additional District and Sessions Judge Kedar Joshi. Considering her pregnancy, the court ordered her transfer to the Nashik Road Central Jail while directing authorities to ensure her medical safety and security.

The courtroom and surrounding premises witnessed heavy police deployment to prevent any untoward incidents. During her previous police custody, investigators reportedly interrogated Khan in the presence of her family members to uncover the network that shielded her while she was absconding. Sources indicate that the police have gathered crucial leads regarding “foreign funding” and local modules involved in the alleged conversion racket. To further the probe, Khan’s mobile device has been sent for forensic cloning to retrieve deleted chats, call logs, and videos that allegedly document the coercion of female staff.

The case has also taken a sharp political turn. State Minister Sanjay Shirsat has alleged that Khan is a “paid worker” with links to political figures, a claim that has intensified the scrutiny of her associates. Furthermore, the police are investigating the role of Matin Patel, an MIM corporator from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, who is accused of providing shelter to Khan. While the Nashik Municipal Corporation has issued notices against Patel’s properties for unauthorized construction, the legal battle continues as these actions are challenged in court. As the forensic reports are awaited, Nashik police remain on high alert.
