New Delhi | April 15, 2026:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 10 Board Examination 2026 (Session 1) results, with an overall pass percentage of 93.70 per cent. The results reflect a stable academic performance trend among students across the country, with lakhs of candidates successfully clearing the examination.

This year, approximately 25 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 examinations, which were conducted between February 17 and March 11, 2026. The evaluation process was completed ahead of schedule, allowing the board to release results within the expected timeframe.
According to official data released by CBSE, girl students have once again outperformed boys. The pass percentage among girls stands at 94.99 per cent, while boys have recorded a pass percentage of 92.6 per cent. The consistent performance of girl students highlights a continuing trend of academic excellence in national board examinations.
Students can access their results through multiple digital platforms. The official websites — cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in — have been activated for result checking. In addition, digital platforms such as the DigiLocker and the UMANG app provide quick and secure access to marksheets and certificates.

DigiLocker, in particular, has emerged as one of the fastest and most convenient methods for students to download their digital marksheets instantly. Students are required to enter credentials such as roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security PIN to view their results online.
The board has also enabled alternative methods for result access, including SMS and IVRS services, to ensure that students in areas with limited internet connectivity can still check their performance without difficulty. These multiple access channels are part of CBSE’s ongoing efforts to make examination results more accessible and student-friendly.

Education experts note that the continued rise in pass percentages reflects improvements in classroom learning, digital education tools, and exam preparedness strategies adopted by schools in recent years. However, they also emphasize the importance of focusing on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.
Following the declaration, schools are expected to begin the process of distributing original mark sheets and guiding students for higher secondary admissions. Counselling and academic guidance sessions are also likely to be conducted to help students choose appropriate streams based on their performance and interests.
With another year of strong results, CBSE continues to reinforce its position as one of India’s largest and most structured education boards, setting benchmarks for academic evaluation and digital integration in examination systems.
