India strongly criticised Pakistan during a session at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), accusing its neighbour of carrying a prolonged history of violence, terrorism and human rights violations while attempting to divert global attention through politically motivated allegations against India.
Speaking at the UNSC, India’s representatives rejected Pakistan’s remarks on regional issues and Kashmir, calling them “misleading” and “detached from reality.” New Delhi asserted that Pakistan has repeatedly used international platforms to target India while ignoring its own internal crises, including terrorism, extremism and alleged atrocities committed against civilians.
India also highlighted Pakistan’s historical record, referring to incidents linked to the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and accusing Islamabad of failing to address past actions that continue to draw international criticism. Indian diplomats stated that nations with such a “tainted record” should not attempt to lecture others on human rights or civilian protection.
The Indian side further accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism and sheltering extremist networks, saying the international community cannot ignore actions that threaten regional peace and global security. Officials maintained that India remains committed to combating terrorism and preserving stability in South Asia through firm diplomatic engagement.

The heated exchange once again reflected the deepening diplomatic tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours at global forums. The UNSC discussion comes amid continuing friction over security concerns, terrorism-related allegations and regional geopolitical disputes.
India reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir remains an integral part of the country and condemned what it described as Pakistan’s repeated attempts to internationalise bilateral matters. The remarks drew significant attention during the session, underlining the continuing hostility between the two countries on international platforms.
