Solapur| Maharashtra, November 29, 2025: The railway authorities have announced that the old bridge near Degao on the Solapur–Mangalwedha Road is scheduled for demolition on December 14, 2025. The demolition work is expected to take approximately 12 hours, during which all rail traffic on the route will be suspended.
Around 40 to 45 passenger and freight trains are planned to be diverted through alternate routes, with some services possibly canceled. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

To maintain road traffic flow, the local administration has prepared alternate pathways for pedestrians and cyclists. A 54-meter diversion route has been arranged to ensure minimal disruption during the demolition process.
The demolition of the old bridge aims to make way for a safer and more modern structure, enhancing rail safety and traffic efficiency in the region. Authorities have urged the public to stay informed and follow instructions during this period.
