Mumbai, April 22, 2026: Veteran leader Sharad Pawar has been admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai, where he is currently under medical observation. According to sources, the 85-year-old leader was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for a routine health check-up and follow-up evaluation, and doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable with no immediate cause for concern.

Hospital officials and party sources have clarified that the admission is precautionary and part of scheduled medical monitoring. Pawar is undergoing diagnostic tests, and his treatment does not involve any emergency procedures or intensive care. His daughter and MP Supriya Sule also indicated that the hospitalisation is routine, with further decisions on discharge likely after test reports are reviewed.

This is not the first time this year that Pawar has been hospitalised. Earlier in 2026, he was admitted in Pune due to dehydration and related health concerns, following which he was discharged after treatment. Given his age and recent health history, doctors have recommended periodic monitoring and follow-up care.

Despite these health episodes, Pawar has remained active in public life and political engagements. He recently took oath as a Rajya Sabha member and has continued to participate in key political discussions.

Sharad Pawar’s current hospitalisation appears to be precautionary, with doctors confirming that his condition is stable. Supporters and party members have been reassured, with further updates expected after medical reports are reviewed.
