Builder Amit Lunkad Among 30-40 Booked in Vadgaon Sheri Land Dispute
A major land dispute has surfaced in Pune’s Vadgaon Sheri area after the Airport Police registered an FIR against builder Amit Lunkad, Raj Dhaklia, Rupesh Dhaklia, and 30 to 40 others for allegedly attempting to forcibly take possession of a plot by trespassing into the property with heavy vehicles
Pune| May 8th, 2026: The complaint was filed by Ravindra Hiralal Dugad, a Bibvewadi-based businessman associated with the Dugad Group construction business. According to police, the incident took place on May 7 between 5 pm and 6 pm at Survey No. 30 in Ramwadi, Vadgaon Sheri.
As per the FIR, the accused allegedly arrived at the site with eight to ten tractors, dumpers, and water tankers before breaking the compound gate and forcefully entering the plot. The complainant alleged that security guards deployed at the site were assaulted during the incident and threats were issued to vacate the land.
The complaint further stated that the land had been legally purchased in 2023 through registered sale deeds and that all ownership-related records, including 7/12 extracts, property tax records, electricity meters, and water connections, had already been transferred in the names of the purchasers. Construction work on the plot had reportedly been ongoing for the last two months after obtaining necessary permissions from various authorities.
Police officials said an argument took place at the spot after Ravindra Dugad and his son Rishabh Dugad reached the site. The FIR alleges that Amit Lunkad claimed ownership over the disputed land and threatened the complainant during the confrontation. The complainant also alleged that weapons were present inside one of the vehicles brought to the site.
The Airport Police have registered offences under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to trespassing, criminal intimidation, unlawful assembly, and property damage. Further investigation in the case is underway.
