Kolhapur | 04 May 2026: Tension gripped the Tarabai Park office of Gokul Milk Union in Kolhapur after rumours regarding possible destruction of documents triggered heightened security measures and restricted access across its premises.

According to sources, two police personnel arrived at the office late Saturday night, reportedly citing instructions from higher authorities. However, security guards at the gate denied them entry, following directives from senior officials. The personnel remained stationed outside for nearly three hours before leaving the premises around 1:30 am.The situation escalated amid widespread speculation that certain documents might be destroyed ahead of the anticipated appointment of an administrator. This development has intensified political activity surrounding the cooperative, with multiple discussions and claims circulating in recent days.

In response to the rumours and precautionary concerns, authorities reportedly deployed police security at multiple Gokul-linked locations, including offices at Tarabai Park, Gokul Shirgaon, and Vashi in Mumbai. Additionally, a fire brigade vehicle was seen stationed outside the Shirgaon facility, further fuelling speculation.

On Sunday, the organisation enforced strict entry protocols, shutting down direct access to all offices. Visitors were allowed entry only after thorough verification, reflecting a cautious approach by the administration to prevent any untoward incidents.The reported developments have created a tense atmosphere around the cooperative, especially with the expected appointment of an administrator in the coming days. While no official confirmation has been issued regarding document destruction, the precautionary measures indicate a high level of alert within the organisation.
