Pune Traffic Police Propose One-Way Rule on Undri Link Road Near Aryan World School
Pune traffic police have proposed a one-way rule on a 350-metre stretch of Undri Link Road near Holewasti and Aryan World School. Public feedback is invited until October 25.
PUNE: Pune traffic police have proposed introducing a one-way traffic arrangement on a 350-metre stretch of the Undri Link Road between Holewasti and Aryan World School to ease congestion and improve traffic movement.
Under the proposed arrangement, vehicles travelling from Holewasti towards Aryan World School would be permitted on the stretch, while motorists travelling in the opposite direction would have to use an alternative route.
Alternative Route for Commuters
Motorists travelling from Aryan World School towards Holewasti have been advised to take the route via NIBM Road and the Kad Nagar junction before continuing towards their destinations.
The proposal comes amid traffic congestion on the narrow stretch, where vehicles travelling in opposite directions, unauthorised parking and increasing traffic movement have created difficulties for commuters.
Public Suggestions and Objections Invited
The traffic department has invited written suggestions and objections from citizens between October 10 and October 25, 2026. Residents can submit their feedback to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Bungalow No. 6, near Yerawada Post Office, Airport Road, Pune.
The final order is expected after the department considers the feedback received from the public. Emergency vehicles, including ambulances, police vehicles and fire brigade vehicles, are to be exempted from the restrictions.
Commuters travelling through Holewasti and the area around Aryan World School should watch for official traffic notifications and follow instructions issued by traffic personnel.
The proposed change aims to reduce congestion and make traffic movement more orderly on this busy stretch of Undri.
