Cockroach Janata Party Appoints Trio to Lead Nationwide Agitation

The Cockroach Janata Party has unveiled three new spokespersons, including investigative journalist Sourav Das, to spearhead an upcoming nationwide movement aimed at challenging government apathy and systemic social injustices.

New Delhi| June 4, 2026: The digital-first movement known as the “Cockroach Janata Party” has officially announced the appointment of three prominent new spokespersons, signaling a strategic escalation ahead of its planned nationwide protest scheduled for June 6. The organization confirmed that investigative journalist Sourav Das will serve as the chief spokesperson. He will be joined by political researcher and filmmaker Vijayeta Dahiya, alongside Ashutosh Ranka, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and former consultant at the global management firm McKinsey.

The announcement comes at a critical juncture for the movement, which has gained significant traction by highlighting grievances against current administrative policies. Chief spokesperson Sourav Das, widely recognized for his rigorous research into legal, judicial, and social issues, emphasized the necessity of this shift. Reflecting on the movement’s motivation, Das stated that the public was initially promised a prosperous future but now feels marginalized and ignored when raising legitimate questions. “We were promised a better future, but now we are only being mocked,” Das remarked. “When we ask questions, we are treated like trash. That moment of frustration has now turned into a nationwide wave of anger. The time has come to change this situation.”

Das previously played a pivotal role in leading the high-profile anti-pollution protests at India Gate in November 2025. By integrating voices from journalism, academia, and global corporate consulting, the party aims to professionalize its advocacy and provide a more structured challenge to the status quo. The newly appointed team is expected to articulate a clear roadmap for the upcoming agitation, focusing on issues of transparency, administrative accountability, and the socio-economic challenges faced by the common citizen. As the group prepares for the June 6 demonstration, the inclusion of such diverse expertise is viewed as a move to bolster its credibility and expand its reach among the youth and urban demographic.
